For international patient communication

Medical tourism marketing agency

A communication plan that helps international audiences find your organisation in their own language and receive prompt answers.

Someone researching treatment in another country wants to understand the institution’s expertise, its doctors, the process, accommodation and transfers, and how quickly and in which language they will receive a response. At Pam Ajans, we build healthcare tourism marketing around the target country, language and information approved by your institution. We improve the visibility of multilingual pages through SEO, plan advertising in line with legal and platform rules on healthcare promotion, and track whether inquiries become conversations with your patient coordinator.

Digital Marketing Challenges in Medical Tourism

In international patient communication, compliant content, the right language and response speed shape results more than ad settings. Below are common issues in these areas and our approach to each.

  • Legal limits on healthcare promotion

The Ministry of Health’s Regulation on Promotional and Informational Activities in Healthcare Services, dated 12 November 2025, prohibits explicit or implicit advertising of healthcare services. Organisations with an international health tourism authorisation certificate may run sponsored promotions in languages other than Turkish on a separate website or account aimed at overseas audiences; content outside this framework carries a risk of sanctions.

How we address themWe run campaigns through internationally oriented websites and accounts, targeting only overseas audiences with automatic audience options disabled. Copy and visuals are submitted to your organisation and legal adviser for approval before publication.

  • Inquiries wait across different time zones

If a night-time enquiry receives a reply the following afternoon, the person may already be speaking with another provider.

How we address themWe plan campaigns around the languages and hours your team can support, and record each enquiry’s country, language and source campaign so your coordinators can see them.

  • Translated pages do not match searches in target countries

A literal translation of a Turkish page does not address the terms and questions used by people in the target country; such a page will struggle to stand out in search results.

How we address themWe research keywords separately for each language and country, building a multilingual site with hreflang-linked versions.

  • People need to know the provider before deciding

An international patient wants to see the doctors, institutional authorization documents, treatment process and follow-up communication. If this information is scattered, they turn to intermediaries or other institutions.

How we address themWe organize doctor and team pages, institutional documents, procedures, accommodation and transfers using approved content, and answer pre-consultation questions in FAQs.

  • Health information shared through inquiry forms

Application forms and WhatsApp conversations may contain reports, photos and health information. Under KVKK, health data is sensitive personal data and may only be processed under the conditions specified by law.

How we address themOur forms request only the information needed for the first conversation. We design privacy notices and consent steps with your institution’s legal team, and do not send health-related data to advertising measurement systems.

  • Inquiries come through intermediaries, leaving the brand behind

When most inquiries come from comparison platforms and intermediaries, your institution’s name remains in the background both in search results and in the prospective patient’s mind.

How we address themWe aim to increase direct inquiries through an SEO and advertising plan that strengthens your website and branded searches.

Medical tourism communication journey

Someone in Germany researching dental treatment and someone in the UK researching hair transplantation use different terms, compare different countries and trust different information. We therefore create distinct messages and page plans for each market rather than simply translating the same ad.

We begin with your organisation's response capacity: available languages, working hours and communication channels determine campaign scale. As a medical tourism marketing agency, our role is to keep the information promised by ads and pages within what your coordination team can deliver.

Let's set priorities together.

Metrics We Track in Medical Tourism

Without viewing enquiry volume, response speed and progression to consultation together, you cannot identify effective countries and campaigns. Feedback by country and language also reveals which information needs clearer explanation.

  • Inquiries by country and language
  • First response time
  • Inquiries that reach consultation
  • Cost per consultation
  • Organic visibility in target languages

Examples of Measurement Setup Before Campaign Launch

The two case studies below concern retail ecommerce brands. What transfers to medical tourism is the working method: establishing measurement before campaigns, planning first-contact, consideration and decision stages separately, and selecting content through comparative tests. Your organisation always retains final approval of healthcare promotional content.

Frequently Asked Questions About Medical Tourism Marketing

Common questions before the first meeting.

Can healthcare providers advertise?

Explicit or implicit advertising of healthcare services is prohibited in Türkiye; organisations may carry out promotional and informational activities within the limits set out in the regulation. Separate rules apply to healthcare facilities and intermediary organisations holding an international health tourism authorisation certificate: sponsored promotion in languages other than Turkish may be carried out on a separate website or social media account aimed at overseas audiences, clearly stating that health tourism services are provided. The authorisation certificate must also be published on that website, and healthcare facilities must use the HealthTürkiye logo.

What restrictions apply to healthcare ads on Google and Meta?

The regulation prohibits promotion intended to generate demand among people living in Türkiye: domestic targeting cannot be selected on social media, and automatic audience definitions must be disabled. Platform rules also apply: Meta does not allow copy implying someone’s health condition, while Google restricts health-related advertising and health-based personalization. We build campaigns within the scope permitted by both frameworks.

How do we choose target countries and languages?

We assess your service scope, the languages your team can respond in and the countries generating existing inquiries. Rather than entering many markets at once, we select an initial scope for which content and response processes can be prepared.

Who approves service descriptions and visuals?

We prepare content using your organisation's information and submit it to the relevant team and, where needed, legal department before publication. We establish a written approval process for service descriptions, visuals and target-language wording.

What information should we request on an inquiry form?

The safest approach is to request only what is needed for the first conversation: name, country, preferred language, contact channel and service of interest. Your institution’s legal team should determine how health data such as reports and photographs is collected, and under which notice and consent. The regulation also prohibits calls and promotional messages without the person’s knowledge and consent; the form’s consent wording must address this.

Can we start with our existing website?

We first review your existing site’s content in the target language, mobile usability, technical SEO and contact journey. Because the regulation requires a separate website or social media account aimed at audiences abroad for sponsored promotion, we establish at the outset whether your current site is suitable and which changes take priority.

What information should we share in the first meeting?

We can start with your website, service scope, target countries and the languages your communications team supports. Your current inquiry process and acquisition channels help us establish the first priorities.
